JYJ組合的海外粉絲展開了行動。西班牙、芬蘭、土耳其、秘魯、墨西哥、美國和台灣等16個海外粉絲社區聯合，20日共同發表了“韓流國際消費者聲明書”，譴責濟州KBS電視台“欺騙大眾”。
他們就發表聲明的理由說：“因此次JYJ演出被取消，海外粉絲的遺憾很大，而且還蒙受了机票和酒店住宿費等金錢上的損失。此外，JYJ擔任宣傳大使期間對韓國和濟州島產生的美好印象受損，而且對韓流和韓國的信任也有所下降。”
他們還說：“濟州KBS電視台無故取消JYJ的演出是在欺騙大眾，對此應負責任。這种事情今年已經發生了兩次。我們為此感到羞恥和失望。KBS欺騙、強迫、非法和單方面的決定，讓海外韓流消費者付出了犧牲，并造成經濟上的損失。此外，還破坏了濟州島和韓國的形象。如果繼續這樣發展下去，韓流不僅會成為國際輿論的指責對象，而且還會陷入成為文化發展領域不應被傳承的反面事例的危險。”
JYJ國際粉絲聯合表示：“此次事件不單是JYJ演出被取消那么簡單，問題比較嚴重。我們要求韓國政府，特別是文化觀光体育部和公正交易委員會，在新一代文化活動產業中實行民主主義和公平公正的制度。”
JYJ在今年4月被委任為濟州島宣傳大使后，為使濟州島能夠入選世界七大自然景觀，一直在努力拉票。JYJ原計划于本月20日出演KBS電視台的直播節目《七大景觀祈愿特輯》，但就在演出前4天，即16日演出突然被取消。對此，濟州道政府和KBS電視台方面僅答复說“沒有與演出人員接触”、“我們認為由少女時代和f(x)出演效果更好”，因此引發爭議。另外，世界七大自然景觀評選活動的發起者——新七大奇跡協會也曾報道過JYJ演出被取消一事，并在KBS全球推特上提及此事，表現出不悅。

[NEWS] 110720 JYJ Overseas Fans say “We will not buy South Korean Products Anymore”
Protests about the cancellation of JYJ from the KBS TV Broadcast Special, stating “There is no justice showed by KBS, Jeju, and South Korea”
“I am a big fan of JYJ from Egypt. Me and my family voted for Jeju Island for the sake of JYJ. Also, we loved South Korea because of JYJ. When we were buying electronics or cars, we would check and only buy Korean products. But now we are starting to feel angry at the unfair treatment against JYJ because of the mad actions of enormous powers. Our love for Korea started out as a love for JYJ, and now I feel like we were cheated along side JYJ to cast a vote for Jeju Island”.
South Korea’s Jeju island selected the trio group JYJ to promote Jeju in the 7 World Wonders campaign. However, an abrupt cancellation of JYJ’s performance in a live worldwide 7 World Wonders Special Broadcast, that is to be held on July 20th at 5pm, has brought about a flood of angry fans from abroad.
Worldwide JYJ fans from Egypt, Australia, Lithuania, France, and the United States cannot understand the decision of the Korean Broadcasting Station and have expressed extreme disappointment. In particular the fans are showing a severe distrust in Korea, stating “I just canceled my plans to visit Jeju Island” and “I will not buy South Korean made products in the future”.
A US based fan said “My friends and her cousin were planning to go to South Korea for the Jeju event with JYJ before traveling to China. They each had to pay $250 for travel fees. You can’t just change the artists four days before the event takes place”
Angered by the situation, a fan from Canada cancelled her plans to visit Jeju Island, stating “This is an international disgrace and South Korea should be ashamed at itself for allowing SM and KBS to act like this. Not only have JYJ been lied to for three months, but fans have as well.”
Overseas fans have also said “Since Jeju Island has made JYJ promote as ambassadors but not allowed them to take part in the programs, this whole thing has become a joke” as well as “KBS and the Jeju Government, you have shown that your country has no justice”
Meanwhile, the vote for the 7 World Wonders is still ongoing, and their organizer, New7Wonders has taken a keen interest in the cancellations, even putting articles about it on their homepage.
